Anahuac are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Bridge City on Friday at 7:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
There's no need to mince words: Anahuac lost to Edna last Friday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 7-49. Anahuac were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 7-28.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 7-45, which was the final score in Bridge City's tilt against Jasper. Bridge City were down by 0-45 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
