Glynn Academy had won four straight games and Faith Jernigan did her part to make it five on Wednesday. The Glynn Academy Terrors strolled past the Lakeside Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 52-34 thanks in part to Jernigan, who went 8-for-12 on her way to 21 points. Those 21 points gave her a new career-high.
The team also got some help courtesy of Janiyah Spaulding, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds. Glynn Academy is 11-2 when Spaulding posts eight or more boards, but 5-8 otherwise.
Glynn Academy's victory bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Lakeside, they dropped their record down to 10-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Glynn Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 41-33 loss against Bradwell Institute on the 13th. Lakeside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
