The Oakes Tornadoes stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They claimed a resounding 64-35 victory over Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Oakes has posted since November 30, 2023.
Oakes got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lily Thorpe out in front who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. Brianna Schmitz was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Oakes and bumps their season record up to 10-4. As for Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah], they bumped their record down to 4-7 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Oakes will face off against Wyndmere/Lidgerwood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
