If Elida was riding high  fresh off their  65-25 takedown of Hondo Valley last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Elida Tigers had to suffer through a   75-45 loss at the hands of the Maxwell Bears. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in December of 2021.
 Despite the  defeat, Elida saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Hayden Wolf  scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was  Hardy Fraze, who  dropped  a double-double on ten points and 13  rebounds.
 Elida's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Maxwell, their win  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-0.
 Elida has  already played their next  contest (against Maxwell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Maxwell, they and Logan will face off  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
