The Memorial Chargers will head out on the road to face off against the Edison Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Memorial and seven for Edison.
Last Tuesday, Memorial suffered a rough 56-30 loss at the hands of Sapulpa. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Memorial has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Edison had to suffer through a rough 59-24 loss at the hands of Coweta. While losing is never fun, Edison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while Coweta is ranked 56th).
Memorial has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Edison, their loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-18.
Everything came up roses for Memorial against Edison in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 85-10 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Memorial since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
