Baseball Game Preview: Albany Hornets vs. Doyle Tigers

For the second straight game, Albany will face off against Doyle. Albany will square off against Doyle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Albany had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Doyle put an end to it on Tuesday. Albany lost 15-1 to Doyle. The Hornets have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

For Doyle's part, their victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brody Keen, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Keen has posted over his last eight matches.

Keen wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Doyle kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive games.

Doyle is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-14-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. Albany's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.
