The Dutchtown Bulldogs are on the road again on Thursday to play the Northgate Vikings at 5:30 p.m. Dutchtown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.7 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, Dutchtown earned a 20-16 victory over Eagle's Landing.
Ja'Myiah Walker was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while going 5-for-5. The dominant performance gave her a new career- in hits. Another player making a difference was Myli White, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Dutchtown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .368 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Northgate unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 6-1 to East Coweta. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Vikings couldn't push the score so high this time.
Dutchtown's record is now 13-5. As for Northgate, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-3.
