The Cranbrook Kingswood Cranes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight defeat. They took a 63-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lutheran North. Cranbrook Kingswood has not had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Lutheran North's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Brown, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tommy Valenti, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Cranbrook Kingswood dropped their record down to 2-12 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Lutheran North, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
Cranbrook Kingswood will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. Richard presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Cranes in Michigan (the Pioneers are ranked 59th, while the Cranes are ranked 577th). As for Lutheran North, they will head out on the road to face off against the Bull Dogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
