Faith Baptist stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They really took it to Bethany Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-27 victory at home. With Faith Baptist ahead 44-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
It was another big night for Amy Ahrens, who dropped a triple-double on 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 steals. Ahrens is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Morgan Burton was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight steals.
Meanwhile, Rochester Hills Christian opened the new year with a less-than-successful 44-35 defeat to Bloomfield Christian School.
Faith Baptist pushed their record up to 6-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Rochester Hills Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Faith Baptist was able to grind out a solid victory over Rochester Hills Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 37-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for Faith Baptist since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
