The Murray Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by Calloway County 50-16. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Murray has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Calloway County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sayler Lowe, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. The game was Lowe's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Madison Futrell, who scored nine points along with five assists and four steals.
Murray's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Calloway County, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Murray will be home for the holidays to greet Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Calloway County will be home for the holidays to greet Carlisle County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
