Montevallo scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were beaten by the Shelby County Wildcats 50-21. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 42-16 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Montevallo's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Shelby County, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Montevallo is set to challenge their familiar foe Sipsey Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Shelby County will take on rival Selma at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
