The Portola Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success  on Wednesday. They came out on top against Plumas Charter by a score of  94-84. The  win was nothing new for Portola as they're now sitting on three straight.
 Leading Portola to victory were  Connor Sheridan and  Magnus Berg.  Sheridan  dropped  a double-double on 25 points and 13  rebounds, while  Berg  dropped  a double-double on 25 points and 12  rebounds. Sheridan is crushing the  rebound category: he's  posted at least eight every time he's  taken the court this season.  Liam Bowling was another key contributor,  scoring 16 points along with five  rebounds.
 Despite the  loss, Plumas Charter saw an underclassman step up:  Dalton Bentz  scored 33 points along with eight  assists and five  steals. Bentz hasn't dropped below 15 points for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Braden Harris, who  scored 14 points.
 Portola has  been performing  well recently as they've  won nine of their last 11 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record  this season. As for Plumas Charter, they now  have a losing record at 11-12.
 Portola will be playing in front of their home fans against Quincy at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Portola has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Plumas Charter, they won't have much time to rest: their next  matchup is against Paradise Adventist Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on February 8th. Plumas Charter knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Paradise Adventist Academy likes a good challenge.
