Volleyball Recap: Triad Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Triad, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Freeburg Midgets 2-1. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Triad got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 21-25, 16-14.

Cooper Govreau paced Triad's offense, picking up eight kills. Govreau got some help from Heidi Boehning and her 25 assists. Finally, Allison Adomite kept Triad's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Triad's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-11. As for Freeburg, they moved to 13-10 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Triad wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Glenwood on the 4th. As for Freeburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 4th.
