The Flint Hill Huskies are taking a road trip to square off against the Trinity Episcopal Titans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Flint Hill is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season.
Flint Hill will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs last Thursday, then bounced right back against St. Andrew's Episcopal on Thursday. The Huskies never let the Lions get on the board and left with a 23-0 win. The game marked the Huskies' most dominant victory of the season so far.
Cate Stanley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024.

Flint Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Trinity Episcopal never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Saint Gertrude on Thursday. They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Gators. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won four in a row.
Cooper Beatty made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off eight hits. Beatty was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Ava Hoyle was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Magovern Rollins, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
Flint Hill's record now sits at 3-1. As for Trinity Episcopal, their record is now 7-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Flint Hill has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Trinity Episcopal struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Flint Hill suffered a grim 19-6 defeat to Trinity Episcopal in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
