The Heights will challenge the DC International Dragons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Heights is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
On Tuesday, The Heights came up short against DeMatha and fell 8-3.
The Heights got a good showing from Asher Pedersen, who pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Pedersen has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, The Heights saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Lepre, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Jack DiPompeo also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Meanwhile, DC International never let their opponents score on Thursday. They put the hurt on Idea with a sharp 19-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Timberwolves: they've now won six in a row.
Cooper Calis was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Jasper Delicath was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Carlos Ferman, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
DC International always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .815. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The Heights' loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for DC International, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
