Volleyball Recap: Sophia Rollo's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sherman over James Monroe

Sherman's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia Rollo, who had ten kills, seven digs, and two blocks. Rollo has been hot for a while, having posted seven or more kills the last 49 times she's played. Emma Russell was another key player, getting 21 assists and five digs.

Sherman's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for James Monroe, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7-1 record this season.
