A Season-Best Performance from Ty Trcka Leads Palacios over Mathis
On Friday, Palacios got the W thanks in part to Ty Trcka playing the best football he has all season. Trcka threw for 209 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 91 yards on only 11 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
For the year, Trcka has thrown 11 touchdowns while averaging 124.2 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 32.64 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 71.26 passer rating.

Orange Grove found a leader in Linden Rodriguez as the team took down Aransas Pass on Friday. Rodriguez did his part (and then some), rushing for 67 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 102 yards and a touchdown on only nine passes for the 'W'.
Orange Grove's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Rodriguez and Orange Grove will face off against Mathis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Longoria Posts Huge Game in 34-20 Loss
While Aransas Pass might've come up empty on Friday, Jerry Longoria wasn't going down without a fight. Nobody could stop Longoria as he threw for 215 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 57 yards on only seven carries.
This is the second loss in a row for Aransas Pass and nudges their season record down to 2-6. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Panthers challenges Goliad at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
