Volleyball Recap: Pinecrest Academy Cadence's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Pinecrest Academy Cadence had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the Cristo Rey St. Viator Royals with a sharp 3-0 win on Wednesday. The Cougars not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 24th (when they won 3-0).

While Pinecrest Academy Cadence won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22, 25-18.

Jack Delap paced Pinecrest Academy Cadence's offense, picking up eight kills. Delap really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with 18. Clive Sanidad controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence's victory bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Cristo Rey St. Viator, their loss was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-12.

Looking ahead, Pinecrest Academy Cadence will head out on the road to face off against Somerset Academy Losee at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Cristo Rey St. Viator does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
