Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Greenwich Country Day, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against King on Friday, sneaking past 5-3.
Bryce Hill made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Hill was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases.
In other batting news, Ray Perez was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Mason Zuniga was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.
