West Bend West has gone 8-2 against Port Washington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Monday. The Spartans will take on the Pirates at 5:00  p.m. West Bend West's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3  runs per game  this season, so Port Washington's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
West Bend West's pitching crew heads into the  match  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Saturday. They walked away with  a   3-0  win over Ripon.

 Maddex Welzien tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. Those  six  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high.
 On the hitting side, West Bend West saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Landon Wertz, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.  Cullen Roell was another,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  RBI.
 West Bend West  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .517. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Port Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They were two  runs away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Kiel.
 Sam Thompson was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  tossed five innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   six  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  O'Neal Wright was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Carson Page, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI.
 Port Washington's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for West Bend West, their record is now 11-6.
 West Bend West skirted past Port Washington  3-2 in their previous matchup  back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
