Garrett Zimmerman and Alex Tyger provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Clarion-Limestone. The connection went for 52 yards, the longest such play in Keystone Shortway - Large this season.
Brookville extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Allegheny-Clarion Valley, 48-24. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Punxsutawney's dynamic duo of Zimmerman and Dakota Byers proved tough for the Lions to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Zimmerman threw for 171 yards and four touchdowns and Byers had 76 yards receiving. Clayton Dale helped Punxsutawney's passing attack out by catching two balls for 49 yards.
TREVOR SHAFFER was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 21 carries, he ran for 158 yards as Moniteau topped Clarion-Limestone. DUSTIN GEAGAN also contributed to the rushing game with 67 yards on the ground.
Punxsutawney's Zimmerman and Dale have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Keystone Shortway - Large in both passing and receiving yards. Zimmerman has thrown for 652 yards this season, while Dale, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 12 catches for 199 yards. Alex Feldbauer from St. Marys leads the league in rushing with 793 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Karns City takes on Alan Nichol's team. As it stands, the Gremlins are in third, while the Chucks are in second.
Punxsutawney took down Jason Kundick's team 41-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Zimmerman ran for 14 yards in the win.
