Elkhorn North extended their losing streak  to five  on Friday, dropping their season record down to 13-13 in the process. They took  a  6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gross Catholic Cougars. The Wolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won  6-1.
As for Gross Catholic, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-7. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.7 runs over those games.
For Gross Catholic's part, they got a great performance from  Kayo Rempe as he  pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off   six  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Robbie Brennan was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in April.
As of now, neither Elkhorn North nor Gross Catholic have any future games scheduled.
