The Western SciTech Aztec Warrior 's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Mission Heights Prep, falling 58-28. While losing is never fun, Western SciTech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 288th, while Mission Heights Prep is ranked 129th).
Mission Heights Prep was led to victory by Rylend Doble and Jacob Vance. Doble scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals, while Vance scored 22 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Vance has scored all season. Evan Pearson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Western SciTech's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Mission Heights Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
Western SciTech will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against BASIS - Peoria at 5:00 p.m. As for Mission Heights Prep, they will head out on the road to square off against Alta Vista Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
