The North Salinas Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 64-50 bruising from Everett Alvarez. North Salinas has struggled against Everett Alvarez recently, as their match on Wednesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Demajae Roberson and David Jauregui certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Roberson scored seven points along with six assists, while Jauregui scored eight points. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Shane Taylor, who scored nine points.
North Salinas bumped their record down to 2-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Everett Alvarez, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.
North Salinas won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Gonzales at 3:30 p.m. on December 28th. Gonzales and North Salinas are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for Everett Alvarez, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Hollister at 7:00 p.m.
