Palmyra is on  a three-game streak of home losses, Weeping Water a six-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Palmyra Panthers will take on the Weeping Water Indians at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Given that  both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  game.
 On Tuesday, Palmyra ended up a good deal behind Johnson County Central and lost  55-37. While losing is never fun, Palmyra can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings  (they are ranked 240th, while Johnson County Central is ranked 29th).
 Palmyra's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Draven Priel, who  scored seven points along with six  rebounds, and  Noah Lang who  scored ten points. Those six  rebounds set a new season-high mark for  Priel.
 Meanwhile, Weeping Water lost to Louisville on the road  by a decisive  46-30 margin on Tuesday. Weeping Water has not had much luck with Louisville recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
 Despite their  defeat, Weeping Water saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Gus Mcgill, who  scored 12 points, was perhaps the best of all. Mcgill is absolutely dominating the  steal category: he's  posted at least two every time he's  taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was  Riggs Wilson, who  scored 12 points.
 Palmyra's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Weeping Water, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
 Everything came up roses for Palmyra against Weeping Water when the teams last played  back in February as the  team secured a  82-39 win. With Palmyra ahead  42-21 at the half, the  matchup was all but over already.
