The Ironwood Eagles kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 48-22 walloping at the hands of Agua Fria.
It was another big night for Tami Balogun, who scored 15 points along with 5 steals for Agua Fria. That makes it three consecutive games in which Balogun has scored at least 25% of Agua Fria's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Saleen Rios, who scored 8 points along with 6 steals.
Ironwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Agua Fria, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Ironwood will head out on the road to face off against Boulder Creek at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th. As for Agua Fria, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Yuma at 7:00 p.m.
