The Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Norfolk Panthers at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Lincoln Southwest's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Norfolk has been banged up by 23 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Even though Columbus scored an imposing 65 points on Tuesday, Lincoln Southwest still came out on top. Lincoln Southwest had just enough and edged Columbus out 68-65.
Braden Frager continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxyn Cruse, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Norfolk pushed their score all the way to 73 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 74-73 to Columbus. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (68), Norfolk still had to take the loss.
Lincoln Southwest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Norfolk, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
Lincoln Southwest beat Norfolk 69-56 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Does Lincoln Southwest have another victory up their sleeve, or will Norfolk turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
