The third road contest was the charm for the Raymond Seagulls, as they earned their first road win of the season. They managed a 52-47 win over Ocosta on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Raymond also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Raymond's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chris Banker led the charge by scoring 12 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Christopher Quintana, who scored 18 points.
Raymond's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-5. As for Ocosta, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Raymond will take on Ilwaco at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Ilwaco's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Ocosta, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Chief Leschi at 7:00 p.m. Chief Leschi presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ocosta in Washington (Chief Leschi is ranked 150th, while Ocosta is ranked 324th).
