The Glencoe Crimson Tide are taking a road trip to challenge the Sherwood Bowmen at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Glencoe is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oregon's top teams: McMinnville, who was ranked ninth at the time (Glencoe was ranked 18th). The Crimson Tide were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Grizzlies on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crimson Tide.

Lexi Brester spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Tuesday Mevis was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Allison Glaze, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Glencoe hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Sherwood entered their tilt with Century on Friday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 11-3 victory. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 2, 2023, but that streak is no more.
Presley Sarono-Ramos was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Sarono-Ramos was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
In other pitching news, Destiny Cornwell looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Jordyn Henderson, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. McKenna Parmalee also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.
Sherwood pushed their record up to 20-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Glencoe, their record now sits at 16-6.
Glencoe couldn't quite get it done against Sherwood when the teams last played back in April as they fell 6-3. Can the Crimson Tide avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
