The Lee Academy of Science & Engineering Wolfpack entered their tilt with the Sabinal Yellowjackets with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lee Academy of Science & Engineering also won the last time the pair played back in January.
When it comes to explaining why Sabinal lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ricardo Perez. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with three steals. Perez has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Andres Reyes, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Lee Academy of Science & Engineering pushed their record up to 20-3 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Sabinal, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-13.
Lee Academy of Science & Engineering will head out on the road to take on La Pryor at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sabinal, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Stockdale at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Sabinal focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
