Davis also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Herring, who scored six points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Carolina Forest's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Hoggard, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carolina Forest will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Waccamaw at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Waccamaw is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Hoggard and Pamlico County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pamlico County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 324th, while Hoggard is ranked 147th).
