Crossroads Christian posted their biggest victory since November 28, 2023 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Carolina M with a sharp 61-36 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Crossroads Christian just coasted through the last quarter.
Elyssa Phillps continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with five assists. Laci Wade was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Cape Fear Christian Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Bradford Academy 63-30 at home.
Cape Fear Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Glenna McLamb led the charge by scoring 19 points along with seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McLamb has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Laney Trainer, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Crossroads Christian's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Cape Fear Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
Everything went Crossroads Christian's way against Cape Fear Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as Crossroads Christian made off with a 52-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crossroads Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
