Darien Whitaker Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Starting off the list is Boys Town's Darien Whitaker, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Whitaker made seven total tackles (1.0 for loss), good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 110.1 rushing yards per game.
On the year, Whitaker has averaged 6.8 total tackles per game. It gets even more impressive: after eight games last season, he had six rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 16.

Big Game from Tonjes As Ashland-Greenwood Won 45-14
Ashland-Greenwood picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Derek Tonjes. Brownell Talbot had no answer to Tonjes as he threw for 175 yards and four touchdowns on only ten passes.
For the season, Tonjes has thrown 21 touchdowns while averaging 206.1 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 4.75 passing yards per game.

Roncalli Catholic Gets a Boost from Post in 28-14 Defeat
Roncalli Catholic was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Jackson Post did his best to prevent it. Despite the defeat, Post was still balling out as he picked up 114 receiving yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 71 yards.
This season, Post has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 43.1 receiving yards per game.

Akhil Mehta Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Akhil Mehta of Brownell Talbot. Mehta made two total tackles.
