Newberry waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Fairfield Central Griffins an 11-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Newberry, who have now won nine games by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Fairfield Central from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Juliette Carmona led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Newberry's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those four contests. As for Fairfield Central, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-14.

As of now, neither Newberry nor the Griffins have any future games scheduled.
