St. Edward had lost five straight on the road, but  on Friday they dropped their record down to 1-26 to make it six. They came up short against  the Timothy Christian Trojans, falling  10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  10-3  two weeks ago.
As for Timothy Christian, the  win was  the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-12. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.
For Timothy Christian's part, they got a great performance from  Johnny Tragos as he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those  ten  strikeouts gave  Tragos a new career-high.
 On the hitting side,  Eli Colegrove and  Evan Colegrove did most of the damage at the plate:  Eli  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run, while  Evan  went 1-for-2 with one  home run and two  RBI. That's the most  hits  Eli has posted since back in April.  Brian Gannon was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 Looking ahead, St. Edward will face off against Elgin at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Green Wave are facing the Maroons at the right time seeing as the Maroons are stuck on  a  ten-game losing streak. Timothy Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
