After losing to Thoreau the last time they met, Tohatchi decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Tohatchi snuck past Thoreau with a 22-18 win.
Tohatchi struggled in the first half and ended with zero points. As for Thoreau, they scored 12 to put Tohatchi at a 0-12 disadvantage heading into the break. In the second half, however, Tohatchi's defense made a stand and allowed a meager 6 points. The victory bumped their record up to 4-3. The loss dropped Thoreau's record to 1-5.
Next week Tohatchi take on Zuni at 7:00 PM. These teams both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous games. Thoreau will be playing at home against Crownpoint at at 7:00 PM.
