Wasco is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Liberty is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Wasco Tigers will take on the Liberty Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Wasco walked away with it. They walked away with a 28-21 victory over Reedley on Thursday. The victory was just what Wasco needed coming off of a 49-6 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, even though Chavez scored an imposing 31 points on Thursday, Liberty still came out on top. Liberty had just enough and edged Chavez out 34-31.
Liberty had a senior duo take command as Noah Bonilla threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt and Brody Harlow gained 155 total yards and two touchdowns. Caleb Sisco did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 87 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Wasco is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Liberty, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.
