After losing to the Harlan Green Dragons the last time they met, the Clay County Tigers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Clay County simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Harlan 74-28 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-15.
Clay County had a senior duo take command as Elijah Bundy dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds and Hayden Harris scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds. Aiden Wagers was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Clay County and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Harlan, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Clay County will be playing at home against Floyd Central at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harlan, they will head out on the road to face off against Perry County Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
