After a string of six wins, Covenant's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 59-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the First Baptist Saints. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Saints earlier this season, when they won 59-49.

Despite the loss, Covenant still got an impressive performance from Josh Hook, who went 7 for 16 on his way to 20 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Jolly, who posted 13 points.

First Baptist's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tucker Brown led the charge by going 5 of 8 on his way to 16 points. Jett Stamps was another key player, going 6 for 14 on his way to 18 points.

Covenant's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for First Baptist, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Covenant will take on Logos Prep Academy in a tournament on December 30th. As for First Baptist, they will be taking part in a tournament against Fellowship Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. First Baptist is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.7 points per game this season.
