The Osage City Indians were the 63-45 winner over the Council Grove Braves when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Osage City fell to Council Grove 46-41.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Council Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brycen Palmquist, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Palmquist has scored at least a third of Council Grove's points. Kolby Rose was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Osage City's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Council Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Osage City will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Olpe on Friday. As for Council Grove, they will head out on the road to take on Eureka at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
