Huguenot is 1-6 against Cosby since September of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Huguenot Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Cosby Titans at 7:00 p.m. Cosby took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Huguenot, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Huguenot narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past L.C. Bird 12-9. The win was just what Huguenot needed coming off of a 42-20 loss in their prior match.
It was another big night for Jason Wright, who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Markel Dabney made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Meanwhile, Cosby lost to James River Midlothian on the road by a decisive 35-16 margin on Friday. Cosby has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Huguenot's win was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 5-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.4 points per game. As for Cosby, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Huguenot was dealt a bruising 49-0 loss at the hands of Cosby when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can Huguenot avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
