When it comes to explaining why New Hope Leadership Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sugar Eaton. Despite the final result, he scored 34 points. Eaton hasn't dropped below 22 points for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Jailen Anderson, who scored 12 points.
Anderson C's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10. As for New Hope Leadership Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anderson C will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Rams at 12:00 p.m. on February 3rd. As for New Hope Leadership Academy, they will face off against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Comenius is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
