Basketball Recap: Trey Bronson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bonita Springs over Neumann

Bonita Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 37th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Neumann Celtics, falling 74-49. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bullsharks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 83-54 back in November of 2024.

Bonita Springs lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Trey Bronson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards. Bronson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last four games he's played. Fulton Chowen was another key player, putting up ten points.

Bonita Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Neumann, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Bonita Springs has already played their next matchup, a 79-74 victory against Lemon Bay on the 14th. As for Neumann, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-33 defeat against Community School of Naples on the 14th.
