The Clarkston Angoras lost against the Stephenson Jaguars back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Clarkston took a 60-42 bruising from Stephenson. Clarkston has not had much luck with Stephenson recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the loss, Clarkston still got an impressive performance from Jonathan McBride, who scored 14 points. The game was McBride's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Na'Shaun Porter, who scored eight points.
Clarkston's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Stephenson, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarkston's road trip will continue as they head out to face Miller Grove at 4:30 p.m. on January 6th. Miller Grove is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Stephenson, they will head out on the road to face off against Westminster at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Westminster presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Stephenson in Georgia (Westminster is ranked 178th, while Stephenson is ranked 413th).
