St. Francis has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Zimmerman Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Tuesday, St. Francis was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 69-64 to the Bulldogs.
Zimmerman has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They claimed a resounding 81-51 win over Pine City on the road.
St. Francis' loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Zimmerman, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13.
St. Francis was able to grind out a solid win over the Thunder in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 80-70. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Francis since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
