Fort Thomas came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 50-33 win over the Sahuarita Mustangs.

Fort Thomas can attribute much of their success to Corey Cody, who posted five points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Raeleigh Hawkins, who put up eight points and five rebounds.

Fort Thomas smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. They are a perfect 8-0 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Fort Thomas' victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Sahuarita, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Looking ahead, Fort Thomas and Dysart will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. As for Sahuarita, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cienega at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2026.
