Depite a solid game beyond the arc (40.91% for nine threes), the Olympia Spartans couldn't get the better of the Pontiac Indians on Tuesday. Olympia was just a three-ball short of a win and fell 43-41 to Pontiac. If the Spartans were hoping to take revenge for the 88-59 loss against Pontiac when the teams met earlier this month, then they were left disappointed.
Olympia's defeat pushed them down to 6-24. Pontiac's victory brought them up to 15-12.
Olympia will be hunkering down at home again for their contest against Monticello Friday. Olympia is the clear underdog, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one. As for the Indians, they will face off against Rantoul Friday. Pontiac's scoring has been on the decline the past three games, which is obviously a trend Rantoul hopes will continue.
