Central Valley Academy is 2-7 against Proctor since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Central Valley Academy Thunder will head out on the road to face off against the Proctor Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Central Valley Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
Last Friday, Central Valley Academy earned a 62-50 victory over Camden. The win made it back-to-back wins for Central Valley Academy.
Deacon Judd was on fire: he dropped a double-double on 32 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Central Valley Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Luke, who scored 13 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Proctor had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-48 win over Fayetteville-Manlius two weeks ago.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 2-0 season records intact.
Central Valley Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Proctor in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 54-49 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central Valley Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
