Cupertino moved up to 653 from 723 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in El Camino. A 34-0 win over Los Altos helped the Pioneers improve their standing.
Cupertino extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Eagles, 34-0. The win marks sixth in a row for the Chris Oswald 's team.
Harker's dynamic duo of Spenser Quash and Robert Deng proved tough for Gunn to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Quash threw for 302 yards and two touchdowns and Deng had 155 yards receiving. Kevin Moss helped Harker's passing attack out by catching eight balls for 72 yards.
Keenan Smith was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 13 carries, he ran for 220 yards as Fremont lost to the Titans. Kahileigh Creamer also contributed to the rushing game with eight yards on the ground.
Harker's Quash and Deng have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading El Camino in both passing and receiving yards. Quash has thrown for 1459 yards this season, while Deng has 35 catches for 527 yards. The Firebirds' Smith leads the league in rushing yards with 777.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Fremont takes on the Pioneers. Ron Demonner's team's offense has scored 212 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Cupertino has allowed only 86 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Pioneers take on the Firebirds. At the moment, Cupertino is in first, while Fremont is in third.
