Baseball Game Preview: Treasure Coast Titans vs. John Carroll Catholic Rams

The Treasure Coast Titans will be playing at home against the John Carroll Catholic Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Thomas Johnson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Treasure Coast is 2-1 when Johnson posts two or more stolen bases, but 6-9 otherwise. Michael Brandt also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, John Carroll Catholic fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Dwyer on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 8-7. The Rams' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Brycen Payne made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. Grady Messner was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Treasure Coast's record is now 8-10. As for John Carroll Catholic, their record now sits at 11-9.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal.
